Mission Statement

CORPORATE OVERVIEW

Cordsen Engineering GmbH (CE) is a privately held company located in the city of Seligenstadt / Germany within the greater Frankfurt Rhein-Main area, in a modern, secure facility of more than 1.800m². The company develops and manufactures a broad range of mission critical products – from rugged computers and peripherals – to a comprehensive range of TEMPEST equipment, and IT-Security products. We provide high-technology products and services to government/military and commercial customers worldwide.

Cordsen Engineering GmbH is divided into three divisions:

Rugged Products                        TEMPEST Products                     Encryption Products

Our design team of the Rugged Product Division maintains a comprehensive design engineering capability, and can transform existing COTS products or system to achieve compliance with unique mechanical, electrical, or environmental requirements, tailored to MIL-STD-810F; MIL-STD-461D/E/F and others applicable standards. Our environmental tailoring process ensures, that system design and test criteria are tailored to environmental conditions within which material is to operate, and depending on the mission need statement and the operational requirements, we optimize cost and operational effectiveness. We have a wide range of Standard Products, some with NATO Stocknumber, and our strength is custom design with rapid prototyping and production run. Special know-how is available to optimize Lightning protection, including NEMP/HEMP of mission critical products and/or installations.

The TEMPEST Product Division is responsible for the continuing development of state-of-the-art COMSEC products iaw SDIP 27 Level A/B. New equipment and/or performance upgrade is added to our standard product range continuously. Our design principle ensures a optimized cost of ownership, as upgrades and enhancements are possible within the standard design. We have HP as our strategic partner for the supply of all printer and scanner, as well as Workstation and Server.

Besides SDIP 27 Level A, by far the most demanding requirement in COMSEC technology, we do of course offer all other emission standards, and again, we are geared to deliver customized solutions, even beyond SDIP 27 Level A. For mission critical application we do employ long life-cycle high reliability industrial SBC’s, and we have designed TEMPEST Workstations with a overall MTBF of > 100.000h, including NEMP/HEMP protection.

Approved Testing Laboratory for TEMPEST Measurements

Cordsen Engineering GmbH is certified by BSI to perform TEMPEST (certification-) measurements according to SDIP 27 Level A, B and C / COMSEC-Zone 1, 2 and 3 in 2 TEMPEST labs on site, and also we offer (TEMPEST) Platform Testing.

Our
Encryption Product Division
provides professional hard- and software solutions to multinational corporations, financial institutions and government. We have installed and maintain large multinational networks, including Link Encryption, Frame Relay, ATM (SONET up to 2.5Gbps) and VPN up to 1Gbps. We have designed sophisticated Access Control Systems employing authentication with biometric devices especially fingerprint technology, SSO, local and group encryption, electronic signature in combination with biometric authentication, PKI including trust center technology. Our own developments are NetCrypt (Group encryption within a secure Network) and ELSIG (ELectronic SIGnature) where the authorisation will be defined by biometrics (fingerprint) and the electronic signature will be realised using asymmetric encryption or will be used in combination with a trust center and/or PKI to implement the Digital Electronic Signature.

Embedded Software
Cordsen Engineering is the distribution partner of LynuxWorks (San Jose/USA) in central Europe and supervises customers within the defense and Aerospace sector, especially. So far the LynxOS-178 RTOS is the only “hard real-time” Operating System, which can be certified to DO-178B Level A.The LynxSecure Seperation Kernel, certified to EAL7, comes with a MILS-architecture (multiple independent levels of security) and a high-performance Hypervisor (HPH), which allows to operate different applications und multiple Operating Systems on the same hardware.20 years of RTOS experience goes into LynxOS. Broad conformance to open and de facto standards like Linux®, POSIX and UNIX® means that you can confidently build products with the LynxOS RTOS to meet the most stringent requirements for real-time mission-critical applications. Enjoy the time-to-market and investment-protection advantages of open standards-based development using the LynxOS RTOS.
